Here are a few guidelines and rules that we will use as we start the 2007 racing season. The main reason for R/C racing is to have FUN! We want to run the races in an orderly, efficient manner so that everyone can enjoy themselves.
Rules and Guidelines 2007
Electric Classes
The racetrack will be open for practice at 9:00 am on race days.
You must sign in BEFORE putting your vehicle on the track to practice.
Electric sign in closes normally one (1) hour before the heats. If you are not signed in, you can't race.
The track will close from practice promptly thirty (30) minutes before the heats start. You must remove your vehicle from the track so that the track can be prepared for racing. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Racing will start normally at 11 am, but may vary.
There will be five (5) minutes between heat races and main races. If you are not at your turn marshal post or on the driver's stand at the start, you will be docked one (1) lap. NO EXCEPTIONS!
There will be at least twenty (20) minutes between the heats and mains. We will try to announce this ahead of time, but may vary due to the number of changes and/or drivers.
We will try to run three (3) heats and a main in each class, time and weather permitting. Heat races and main races will be five (5) minutes in length.
Nitro Classes
The racetrack will be open for practice at 9:00 am on race days.

Classes and Fees
Entry fees will vary depending on the event.
Drivers must provide their own pit table, chairs and extension cords.
Classes will begin as follows: Stock Buggy; Stock Truck; 4WD Modified; 1/10th Gas Truck; 1/8th Buggy; and Monster Truck. Classes may be adjusted as we see what types of vehicles are showing up.
A class must have at least four (4) entries in order to be run. Subject to exception by the Race Director.
Stuff You All Should Know
We use the Autoscore for Windows race program. We use the AMB-rc transponder system. Personal Transponders are welcomed as well. While this system has proved to be very reliable and accurate, mistakes can happen. An appeal process will be available AFTER the Heats and Mains. Corrections will be made ONLY THEN.
Every driver is responsible for turn marshalling after their race is over. You must marshal yourself or provide a suitable replacement or you will be docked a lap. NO EXCEPTIONS! You must also marshal at your designated spot. Look for the pole with your number on it.
All penalties will be deducted from your best time or main.
We will post the results of each heat and main as soon as it becomes available. The scoring stand is OFF-LIMITS. Times and positions will not be given except as posted or announced. Don't ask, cause we won't tell!
The track will be watered BEFORE the heats and BEFORE the mains. No watering between races! For the evening races, watering may not be needed at all as the track retains much of it’s moisture.
ROAR rules will apply, but membership is not required to race. Decisions of the Race Director will be final.
R/C World of Indiana is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items, or for accidents.
The goal of these races is to provide a place to race and have fun. There is no hobby shop on site, but we will try to arrange for someone to be present with parts. Please remember that this is a family sport and conduct yourself accordingly. Everyone is welcome, but we will ask you to leave if you cannot conduct yourself properly!
These guidelines may be adjusted as the season goes on. It is a work in progress. We ask for your help in making the weekly races as smooth and fun as possible.
Thank you,
R/C World of Indiana Management
